Emergency Response
The Lebanon Fire Department (LFD) is operational 24/7 providing first responder services for fire, rescue, and emergency medical calls to the residents and visitors of Lebanon, Tennessee. The Fire Suppression Division is tasked with minimizing the loss of life, personal injury, and property damage resulting from fires, other disasters, and EMS emergencies. This objective is achieved thorough extensive training in firefighting and EMS skills, as well as collaboration with the Fire and EMS Training Divisions to discover and implement the most effective life saving skills and techniques.
At present, the Lebanon Fire Department consists of a total of 100 personnel, with 89 individuals specifically assigned to suppression duties. The Suppression Division is organized into three distinct shifts; (A-Shift, B-Shift and C-Shift) working out of 4 fire stations within the Lebanon City limits. Each shift operates on a 24-hour duty cycle followed by 48 hours off duty. Within each shift, there is one designated Shift Commander, along with two Captains and four Lieutenants. The Lebanon Fire Department is equipped with 3 Engines, 2 Ladders, 1 Tower, 2 Rescues, 2 Brush Trucks, a reserve apparatus, and 3 EMS Squads.
With the increasing population of 51,185 residents, the Lebanon Fire Department is dedicated to ensuring that the citizens of Lebanon and its visitors consistently receive exceptional service whenever they are in need of LFD services.

Emergency Response Training & Preparedness
The Lebanon Fire Department (LFD) is fully equipped to provide a range of essential emergency services including Fire Response, Medical Calls, Swift Water Rescue, High Angle Rescue, Trench Rescue, Extrication, Hazmat, and Disaster Response. To ensure the highest level of response and service, the Lebanon Fire Department places significant emphasis on fire safety and emergency response training. Providing comprehensive fire safety training is an essential element of the department’s mission to protect lives and property from the dangers of fires and other emergencies.
In addition, the Lebanon Fire Department’s Fire and EMS Training Divisions engage in collaborative efforts with other emergency response agencies to organize joint training exercises and drills, aimed at preparing for large-scale disasters and emergencies, including the implementation of Specialized Multi-Agency Response Training (S.M.A.R.T.). The personnel of the Lebanon Fire Department are actively involved in continuous training and professional development to remain abreast of the latest firefighting techniques, equipment, and medical and safety standards. This ongoing dedication ensures that the personnel of the LFD are thoroughly equipped to effectively serve the community.
