LFD Honor Guard



The mission of the Lebanon Fire Department Honor Guard is to represent the fire department as a highly disciplined team serving honorably at ceremonial events. Honor Guard service involve honoring fallen firefighters, their families, active duty or retired members, and participating in ceremonial and public events. The Lebanon Fire Department first established its original Honor Guard detail on October 31st, 2000, specifically for the funeral of the then-Fire Chief Henry Preston. The original Lebanon Fire Department Honor Guard detail was composed of six members pictured below.

Presently, the Lebanon Fire Department Honor Guard has expanded to encompass 31 members. LFD Honor Guard members have undergone extensive training with the National Honor Guard Academy (NHGA). https://nationalhonorguardacademy.com/ The NHGA is dedicated to developing and advancing the ceremonial expertise and knowledge of honor guard units while reinforcing a sense of pride and compassion by upholding honor guard traditions with precise attention to detail. LFD Honor Guard members are highly trained firefighters who carry out their duties with utmost level of respect, dignity, and professionalism, even under the most challenging conditions.
