Fire Code Enforcement

The Fire Code Enforcement’s mission is to prevent fires before they happen. We are dedicated to making the City of Lebanon a safer place to live, work, or visit by providing its residents and guests with the highest level of fire protection. This is accomplished with guidance and compliance with the fire code, which is the key to minimizing the risk of life and property loss.

Our goal is achieved in several ways, including ensuring that newly constructed structures are designed with the proper fire protection and life safety systems built into them, eliminating fire and life safety hazards, regulating the storage, use, and handling of hazardous materials, ensuring fire safety and evacuation plans are established, assisting with fire drills, and enforcing the Fire Code as well as local ordinances.

The Fire Code Enforcement Division also performs annual inspections for code compliance, inspections during construction, final occupancy inspections, and responses to safety complaints.

We strive to provide courteous, timely, and quality assistance to persons seeking to develop property in the City of Lebanon. We look forward to working with you to minimize the risks of loss of life and property.
