The Fire/Arson Investigation Division of the City of Lebanon Fire Department (LFD) is responsible for determining the origin and cause of fires within the City of Lebanon.  The division’s investigators are sworn firefighters as well. In many cases, investigators work with federal, state, and local agencies, such as the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations (TBI). They are empowered to enforce the laws and codes of the State of Tennessee and City Code about arson and fire-related crimes.  They are specially trained in discovering, preserving, and presenting evidence to prove the crime of arson.
