LFD Overview

City of Lebanon Fire Department

Lebanon Fire Department is a Paid career fire department tasked with fire suppression and all emergency response to the City of Lebanon.  Lebanon Fire covers over 39 square miles.

Staffing for the department consists of 71 full time career staff.  The Department is split into three Zones geographically.  Currently, the department operates out of 3 fire stations throughout the City, with a 4th station under construction.

Lebanon Fire Headquarters is located in the center of city.  This building houses the Fire Chief, Asst Chief, Fire Inspectors, Training Officer, EMS Coordinator and Communications Coordinator. All class room training is held at Headquarters.

City of Lebanon operates a standalone Emergency 911 system located in the City of Lebanon.  Staff of E911 answers all emergency calls for the entire county.  However, some municipalities dispatch their own units.  These calls are transferred by the County E911 Center.

The Department has Specialty Teams including the Hazmat Tech Team, Water Rescue Team, Fire Investigations, Honor Guard and Public Education.

Lebanon Fire provides “mutual aid” to departments within Wilson County.  These departments include cities of Mt Juliet Fire Department, Wilson County EMA and Watertown Fire.  The Department can be requested by these departments within their jurisdiction.  These departments also provide mutual aid to Lebanon Fire Department.
